As of October 2003 Meridian Care in conjunction
with Justice For the Forgotten(JFF) are providing a package of ten therapies
of your choice to the victims and families of those effected by the
bombing in Belturbet on the 28th of December 1972.JFF was set up in
1996 to seek justice and support for the victims of these authrosities
which untill very recently was not forthcomming.If you were affected

YOUR
HEALTH SHOW took place in the RDS over the October bank holiday.A much
larger crowd than previous years attended due mainly to the many guest
speakers this year including Jan De Vries ,Patrick Holford ,Karen
Ward and also Paula Mee.Meridian Care hope to see you all again at nexts
years show which promises to be even bigger and better.
Meridian Care raised €500 at the Singout
Conference held in DCU in June. Singout which was held in Ireland for
the very first time ,was attended by many choirs from throughout the
UK and our own Gloria who hosted the event.This fundraising was towards
Gloria the Irish Choir who will represent Ireland in next years Gala
Choruses Festival due to be held in Montrael ,Canada.This is a choral
festival held every four years with representative choirs from all corners
of the world.
On Saturday May 10th Meridian Care hosted our
second Tea Party in aid of the Alzheimers Society of Ireland.We also
offered Mini Head Massages throughout the weekend for a €5 donation
towards the society.
This year we aimed to improve on the previous year’s figure .We
are proud to announce that we achieved this goal and raised €205
on the day.
Once again we would like to offer our thanks to all our customers and
the local community in helping to achieve this total and look forward
to seeing you there again next year.
Also a special thanks to Northern Sound Radio and Molly Hickey in promoting
the event for us on both occasions.
Meridian Care were delighted to be assisting
in the sponsorship of Belturbet’s first Samba Festival .This took
place in Belturbet during the Easter weekend ,from Saturday 19th to
Monday 21st April .Attending were bands from Belturbet as well as other
parts of the country ,Dublin and also from the UK .Throughout the weekend
workshops took place in drumming ,dance and art as well as a mobile
cinema showing features from South America.
The event was a great success brightening up the town for the weekend
with many tourists and music buffs visiting the area .Window displays
and activities for all age groups added to the atmosphere of the town’s
newest festival .
Meridian Care wish the Samba committee continued success in future years.

Meridian Care are proud to announce our sponsorship
of the Erne Gaels Ladies Football team for the coming year.The girls
had a fine year last year reaching county finals and narrowly being
beaten in the Ulster Semi-Finals.We wish to offer them our support for
the forthcoming year and wish them continued success.
Meridian Care staff were in attendance at this
year’s Cork Choral Festival which was held in Cork city over the
May Bank-holiday weekend .We were on hand to offer therapies to both
Choral Members
and the public alike .
Our main work was done with Glória choir from Dublin who themselves
had a great weekend winning first place in the National Open Competition
for Mixed Voice Choirs and a very respectable performance in coming
fifth in the National Church Choir Music Competition .
This is an annual competition with participants from throughout Ireland
,Europe and even further afield .
We were on hand for the entire weekend and were delighted to see such
a huge turn out and interest in our therapies as well as the festival
itself .We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for
their interest and support.
