Seven Steps to Weight Control:

Step1:Cleanse the system.

Step 2:Stimulate the digestive system.
Step 3:Eating more.
Step 4:Flush the system.

Step 5:Cleanse the liver.
Step 6:Good foods.
Step 7:Foods to use only sparingly if at all.

Step1:Cleanse the system.
Tips to cleanse the body include drinking extra water, increasing fibre in the diet and Linseed which will all lubricate the bowels and help expell wastes.
You may want to have a look at our detox section for further help on this.Click pic opposite.
Waste procucts from our foods are meant to be eliminated from the body via the bowel and kidneys. If these organs are not regular ,excess wastes build up in the body leaving us bloated and sluggish.Regular elimination alone will shed a few extra pounds and also help us feel more energetic and good in ourselves.

Step 2:Stimulate the digestive system.
Tips include sitting down to every meal, chewing your food much more and giving the digestive system a kick start by having a glass of water prior to eating anything.
Eating too fast and not allowing proper digestion leaves us lacking in the energy provided by the food we eat.As the system is not prepared to function corretly it cannot perform its functions of extracting what our body needs from our food. This leaves us lacking in energy despite adequate consumption and also leads to stomach upset and digestive disorders.Preparing our digestive system will enable to take what we need from foods and pass the waste products out of the body meaning we are not storing waste and reducing weight.

Step 3:Eating more.
The trick here is to eat smaller portions and to eat more often during the day avoiding long periods wiyhout food.
Sounds strange if you want to lose weight but in fact if you follow these simple steps you can actually eat more food and still lose weight.Eating at more regular frequency allows the body gets to know it will be regularly replenished and therefore it will not store more than is needed. The problem arises with diets where the body fights back against starvation by storing everything it consumes. This is a survival instinct, the body has to maintain itself.
Little and often is the way to proceed.

Step 4:Flush the system.
70% of our bodies are water. This needs to be replenished regularly.
Many of us suffer from dehydration and thus the body retains fluids to help it cope.Increased water intake, reduction of salt and caffeine in our diets, which also dehydrate the body, will help rehydrate our bodies and get rid of the problem of fluid retention and as a result you will find the pounds falling off.

Step 5:Cleanse the liver.
The liver more so than the stomach regulates our metabolism.A clean liver leads to easier weight control.
It controls fats used for energy or stored as waste fats.A healthy liver will promote a healthy weight. To improve the condition of our liver we need to cut down of fatty or fried foods.Reduce caffiene intake as the liver cannot deal with this and also increase water intake again.Milk thistle is also a very good tonic to take to remedy the what we have imposed on the liver. As a result of all this our bowels functions regulate, skin condition improves and we are less likely to store waste fats in the body.

Step 6:Good foods.
Being more choosy in what we do eat will help weight control a lot. This doesnt mean we have to cut out completely the little temptations and food vices we have but reduce the frequency of which we succumb to these vices and on the other hand complement them with the better foods. These include:
Plenty of fruit, fresh or dried, vegetables and fibre.
Complex carbohydrates such as brown rice, wholewheat pastas.
Fish and lean meats like chicken.
Grains and particularly oats and Wholefoods such as pulses and beans.

Step 7:Foods to use only sparingly if at all.
Cut down on bread intake and try to opt for brown bread or brands containing high fibre and wholegrains.
Lessen your intake of dairy products as they are heavy on the system and take longer to digest.
Reduce your salt intake as it dehydrates thebody leading to fluid retention.
The same goes for caffeine and alcohol.
Try to avoid completely highly processed foods and artificial sweeteners as they are foreign to our bodies and cannot be digested correctly. Also there is very little nutritional benefits to such foods.
